Drug and weapons policies:

Every year, each student receives a copy of our student handbook and staff reviews several of our key policies with students.  Students and parents are responsible for knowing and adhering to the information included in the handbook.  Our district policies regarding drug and weapons are violations outlined in the handbook.  In regards to drug possession/consumption or distribution, consequences can include up to a ten day suspension, citation from a law enforcement officer and a disciplinary hearing that may result in an expulsion.  Throughout the school year, the administration may utilize the presence of a drug dog as a deterrent to students who may consider bringing drugs to campus.  Violating the weapons policy can include any or all of the aforementioned consequences, as well as a Risk Screening and/or Safe Schools Assessment.  Our goal is to work together to maintain a safe, healthy school environment for all students.
