Health Occupations Rotations

Health Occupations rotations begin in January of each school year. Students must be able to participate in all orientation events and rotations to be considered. This is an after school program which runs Wednesdays from 1:30-3:15 pm. Transportation is required.

This is a Pass/Fail Class and School-to-Career elective credit will be awarded upon completion of the course. A uniform fee of approximately $25.00 is required. Student selection for the 2013 rotations program has started. Mandatory orientation: Wednesdays, January 16, 23 and 30 in the SHS Future Center. A culminating orientation program will be held at St. Charles Medical Center on Wednesday, February 6th from 11:30-2:30 - lunch provided. The cost is $15.00. Students must be in good standing without attendance or incident issues.

Rotations start on Wednesday February 13th. Students will be required to participate in a minimum of 15 job shadows; 12-13 will be coordinated with the hospital, The Center, Bend Surgery Center, and Bend Memorial Clinic. The remainder, if any, will be the student's responsibility to set up. (Click here for good ideas when looking for additional health care rotations.) All students must take the orientation to participate. No exceptions.

This program is a great resume builder for every student aspiring to go into a health care career.
